About Rick Ainsworth
The Sailor and Strategist Behind the Stories
Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Rick Ainsworth discovered his passion for storytelling at a young age, closely observing the world around him. A restless youth, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy at just seventeen, serving as a Signalman in the Pacific Fleet.
His adventures took him across the South China Sea, through the U.S. Trust territories, and ashore in Hong Kong, experiences that would later inspire his initial foray into published fiction.
After four years of military service, Rick transitioned to Southern California, earning his education at Citrus College and La Verne College.
He went on to build a highly successful career in the mortgage industry in Orange County, eventually serving as the President of the Orange County Mortgage Brokers Association.
Now living under the wide-open skies of Henderson, Nevada, with his wife, Therese, and their beloved Dachshunds, Rick is a prolific author of sixteen novels.
His background blends sharp military grit with keen professional leadership, allowing him to seamlessly pivot from award-winning historical naval fiction to sweeping, high-stakes political thrillers that challenge the modern American landscape.
